1 Person Tents

1 person tents are ideal for backpackers and even car campers that want a tent they can quickly and easily setup by themselves. These types of tents like all types of tents come in three different forms including the: dome tent, the A tent, and the tunnel tent.

You’ll find that most new tents come in either dome or tunnel tent styles. The advantage of the dome tent over the tunnel tent is its height and the disadvantage is its weight. Most one person hiking tents are made in a tunnel style.

There are a few different types of 1 person tents that you can choose for varying weather conditions, but I’d suggest that you get a three or four season tent for all around use. You can get special winter tents or summer tents as the need for them comes.

Solid 1 Person Tents

When looking for good one person backpacking tents, you’ll want to find something that protects you from the rain and that stores all of your gear. Although it is nice to buy 1 person tents that are easy to get in and out of, this is not a huge problem when you are camping alone. Reason being, you don’t have to worry about waking anybody up as you crawl out of the tent.

Another thing to look for when looking for 1 person tents is the ability to quickly set the tent up by yourself. What is the use of getting a one person tent if you need two people to set it up? This is not a big issue in most cases, but it is something you should watch out for. Before you head out on a trip with a new tent, always make sure to put it up first to make sure you can do it. If you can’t, bring it back to the store and get a new one.

One of my favorite 1 person tents is the Eureka Backcountry 1 tent. These 1 person tents have a great design that makes it very easy to setup. Its dome style design makes it slightly heavier than it could be, but makes it much easier to get in and out of. Also it allows for more storage room and maneuverability while inside.

What I like about the design of this tent is that I can sit inside of it and eat. This is important when I go hiking and the weather turns to rain on me. Eating outside and in the rain is doable, but it is not very pleasant.

Why not take a look at the Eureka Backcountry 1 tent today?
